Kinyarwanda, like Spanish, is phonetic meaning that you pronounce every letter. Some Rwandans, however, tend to mix and match the letter “r” with the letter “l,” and the letters “b,” “v” and “w.” The letter “k” is also sometimes pronounced as “ch.” Thus, the city “Kigali” may sometimes be pronounced as “Chigari.”
