INTRODUCTION
Welcome to researchrwanda.com. This website is dedicated to
public engagement with the goal of helping future researchers,
students, NGO workers, travelers and other interested persons prepare
for their time in Rwanda. It aims to provide a brief overview of
Rwanda, including demographics, geography, history and culture.
However, this site has been created by a doctoral candidate who is
currently conducting oral historical research among survivors,
perpetrators and bystanders affected by the Rwandan genocide, and as
such, may be particularly relevant for other individuals interested in
pursuing this line of work or study.
This website has been created as part of a Students for Development
Internship administered by CIDA and the AUCC. For more information on
the internship project behind this website or on the Students for
Development program, please see “The Internship”
section of this website.
